Website description describes a "paradise and ultimate" experience; it is Not

点评：If I would have known how the tour actually was, I would Not have spent $560 for it. I would have passed on it Hands Down. The description on the website blows the quality of the tour way out of proportion. Our jet ski had mechanical issues for the first 15 minutes which was stressful because of what we had spent on the tour, and the fact that we had rearranged our schedules to be there. There were only three stops there and two stops back, and four of them were for five minutes or less. I witnessed no efforts by the guides to locate any sea life. We were told "get in swim" and then a minute later it was "get back on let's go." The ride there and back was Completely Rushed; to the point where it was hard to Really enjoy the ride and experience. The website makes the tour sound like it is this tropical, dream-like excursion, swimming with dolphins, whales, fishes, etc. so it is Very Misleading. (The top of their website they have video of 2-3 dozen dolphins jumping out of the water, for example). Also, at least half of the time, the instructions given to the group were inaudible because of the distance were were from each other on the water (on our jet skis) or because the guide was talking to others behind him, away from us. When we got to Catalina, they gave us an option to swim in a cave, which was basically a hole in the side of the island. To top it off, the stopping point on the island was Two Harbors (NOT Avalon) which is completely run down and white trash looking. I was extremely disappointed. The consistency in inaudible communication created a big confusion for me re: getting our one bag for two people, to shore at Catalina (other groups were bringing more stuff than us). Because I could not hear what they were saying, I heard "You have to leave your bags on your jet ski" so I went out of my way to swim to shore, carrying our phones and wallets stretched up high above my head and water; because I had heard that we were not allowed to bring our bags with us onto the island. Then I see the guides bringing all the guests' bags to the shore??? (And I had mindfully and strategically packed my bag for this tour). That was so frustrating because I Am a good listener, but if the communication is not clear or audible, issues happen. Yes, going across the open ocean for 60 miles RT on a jet ski was really amazing, but at the end of the day, I feel like a fool; I feel like I was scammed out of my hard-earned dollars. I really wish I would not have taken this tour, I seriously feel duped.
