点评:We were anxious to try this restaurant by highly regarded chef/owner Drew Deckman and were mostly very satisfied. All the dishes in the prix fixe menu were fresh, delicious, meticulously prepared, and beautifully presented. Staff all were welcoming, friendly, and prompt.
There are a few negatives. The room itself is mostly long and narrow, with all hard surfaces, which makes for a very noisy environment in which we found it difficult to carry on conversation. The servings are on the small side, especially at the price charged (which typically comes out at around $400 a couple for dinner, drinks, tax and tip). And, at that price, it hardly seems necessary to charge $5 for a couple of glasses of water. Parking is very difficult, as it is prohibited along University Avenue, few of the large number of restaurants have off-street parking, and neighborhood residents take up much of it. Fortunately, there is a parking structure a couple of blocks away.
So, overall, a nice time. We were happy we went but it probably is a one-time experience.
