Starving Artists Bistro的点评
点评：We were there Feb 20th, to check it out. A friend of mine was going to preform that night. There were 4 of us ,two couples. we ordered some food and drinks. They have an open mic, free entertainment. No order, or sign up for performers. But there was preferential treatment for certain groups. each group had as much time as they wanted to perform. First act was a heavy woman play the keyboard, with her husband on the bass. Her style was high pitched, opera style signing, nothing we recognized. No one clapped except their baby girl, in a stroller near the stage. The second act was very good, who sang and played the guitar. The third act was a long haired millennial who sang and played the guitar, for what seemed like and hour. performance was ok. In his 10 to 15 songs, appeared to me were of his on making. But what ruined the evening was, the only male waiter, kept urging us to leave, "there are people waiting outside to come in. I looked and saw 4 people seating at a table, not at the door waiting. We still had food and drinks in front of us. It was not once but three time, very rude. The owner older man, heavy set wearing a black t-shirt with the Greatful Dead printed on it. Very attentive of the young ladies. We were very disappointed, I'm sure the waiter was only following orders. My advise to the owner of the Bistro, your place is too small for the crowds you draw. Either get a bigger place or have a cover charge, and pay your musicians. The last thing you want is push customers away.
