点评：I’ve eaten here numerous times over the past 2 decades with many fond memories. The bar is my usual landing spot when I hit town, as it allows me to dine solo, as well as not tie up a full dinner table. Service at the bar has always been solid; but it’s a bit more than that: It’s personable. The servers here make it a point to get to know their patrons, and then interact with them from there. I now understand why: They know you’re coming back again. In fact every single person at the bar this visit were regulars; and that’s an amazing feat to accomplish for a restaurant. To have “lifers” means you’re doing something right, and you’re doing it each and every time.
The menu has a bit of everything, but I stick to the veal or the lamb, and mainly due to the fact one can’t find them just anywhere. The veal Taylor style with the mushroom gravy and melted cheese is my usual, and it’s delicious. Meals here can include beans, soup, salad, potatoes, and vegetable. Oh, and bread n butter. If you choose this route, you will be stuffed. The soups change daily, but all are good.
Overall: Is the food 5 star, maybe not. For that matter, the service is probably a 4 too, if compared to a real 5 star eatery. I’m not sure there’s many places today that deserve a real 5 star rating, but at times, it’s one of those things that’s earned in other ways. Here, for me, it’s the whole package, including the interactive hospitality, and lasting memories.
With the cost of living these days, especially for those of you living in California, I’m not sure there’s any place worth going out for: Value at CB is better than most other restaurants I’ve visited. Listen, there’s certainly a ton of eateries in the chino area to choose from, but not all offer what you’ll find here; Especially the bonding relationship you’ll come to appreciate after a visit at Centro… Enjoy
