点评:We went here for our 50th anniversary due to their Michelin star and intriguing menu. One is always a bit tentative about such a choice, but it proved excellent. This was a friendly and warm restaurant, owned by a husband and wife. They were both welcoming, with not a hint of arrogance about the Michelin star. It's a small (9 tables, I think) prix fixe restaurant, but they have smartly added an option for a la carte items outside and in the (full) bar. There is an open kitchen, but no chaos in sight. The chef-owner has an impressive restaurant resume and it shows in the food. The place was full and lively, but quiet enough for conversation. The menu had 4 courses, plus 2 very tasty amuse bouches (fish tartare tart and grilled abalone on a bay leaf skewer), with chocolate chip cookies as you leave. We made a point of having different items from the choices, so that we could experience the majority of the offerings. Without going through the entire menu, suffice it to say that the presentations and food combinations were unique and flavorful with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. All items were great, with the tortelloni, the beet salad and the sweetbreads our favorites. There was a surprising number of staff, including a sommelier, so we had plenty of attention (but not too much). The pace of dinner was just right - not too fast and not too slow. We felt that our anniversary celebration was absolutely perfect!
