My wife and I are long-time sushi lovers. We didn't have high expectations for a Japanese restaurant in a strip mall. But it was close, so we tried it...
Then we came back again and again, because Hooked On Sushi has great sushi, miso soup, salad, tea, service, and prices. We have a lovely meal every time we go there.
We mostly go for lunch because of great lunch deals. I can recommend splitting a 3-item combo or a bento box if you're relatively light eaters like us. But even if you each get a full lunch, your total bill will likely come in under $50. That's pretty amazing for sushi these days!
I haven't had anything bad there. The tuna rolls are very fresh. Chicken katsu and teriyaki are both great. The miso soup, included free with most meals, is excellent. We also like the included dinner salad.
Service has always been outstanding. The staff are attentive without hovering, very friendly and helpful.
