点评:This is one of those unique Aussie icons that warrants a visit at least once.
The faint shearing shed smell enveloped me as I soon as I walked in and I thought 😌 “I am home” (I grew up on a sheep farm).
It was outstanding service with a smile at the bar 10minutes before closing (😬 sorry fellas I didn’t come earlier).
I soaked up the incredible water views while trying the pink lemonade they brew on-site accompanied by cheese and biscuits they sell. Local producers are sourced and there is an array to choose from.
After getting a quick fascinating, impromptu history lesson from the smiling barman, I was then encouraged to walk around the site and visit the original homestead. Would love to return to see this once restoration is complete.
One could easily spend a half day here. I’m told they have food vans on some nights, the have held barn dances (and other dances) at the venue. There was an art display in the shearing pen area and worth a look too.
Thanks guys for a memorable stop in!
