The Slot, fun hike but a bit crowded on 4/8 at about noon.

点评：Fun times. The trick is to trust the sign that indicates where the trailhead is and follow that path north until the sign that points to the left saying to enter the Slot. It gets very narrow at points even for me with my baby carrier on my back with my 3 year-old daughter inside. In fact I had to take off the carrier and have my daughter walk through some of the narrowest parts of the hike. I also had to lift her down some of the rockier portions of the trail.
We did see a desert iguana which was a treat for my son.
We took the entire 2.5 mile loop instead of turning around to go back the way we came. If you take the loop like we did, you will encounter a fairly steep incline before the fire road levels out. A bunch of Rubicon 4X4s were coming down that steep incline, so be careful of them.
It was a fun time!
