点评：My beautiful wife and I have been eating at 'The Whippet' for about 20-years. My wife and her family have been customers for 30-years or so.
The Whippet serves the best farm raised fried catfish I have ever esten. The catfish meals are served piping hot and they always give you an extra peice with your order. It is fresh and perfectly breaded and seasoned just so.
One receives hush puppies, pinto beans, cole slaw, green tomatoes all you can, served family style. You have your choice of super french fries or a perfect baked potatoe with the catfish meals.
They also have great burgers and a nice rib-eye for streak night. All very good.
The staff is real world friendly, not the fake "I am paid to smile" unfriendly you get from most 'modern servers'. Most of the people who work there have been there for many years.
Prices are low and the food is great.
We drive 45-minutes to eat at The Whippet". It is one of our special occasion places to eat.
