点评：Stopped by around 2:30PM for a late lunch at this cute looking rustic roadside restaurant just south of El Triumfo. An odd hour I admit……BUT. When we were shown to our table the waitress unfurled a nicely folded table cloth and proceeded to put it on the table. Only problem was that the table top still had bits of food on it. OK no problem, the cloth covered the food, I thought.
We were told that we could only order from the breakfast menu. Really?!?! It’s 2:30 in the afternoon! Sorry, only breakfast. Since we were quite hungry we began to order. We tried to order a simple cheese quesadilla but no-go. You can only get a cheese and ham quesadilla. Fine, my wife ordered it reluctantly. I ordered huevos with chorizo…..Seemed hard to screw that up. Not exactly, however. I received scrambled eggs with no chorizo but did have some sort of meat resembling chopped and pounded flank steak with no seasoning at all. Hey…..meat is meat, right? Well, this stuff was better suited to making a belt or pair of shoes and had so much gristle that I feared for my fillings. The salsa that was put on the table, was about a third full and clearly looked like it had previously been on someone else’s table. Just awful. We were afraid to even try it. You are far better off to drive by and note how quaint it looks from about 50MPH.
