Kalimantan is a MUST-SEE destination (and you must see it with Kalimantan Tour Guide!)

点评：My husband and I decided earlier last year that we wanted to spend 10 days exploring East Kalimantan. I'm usually one to organize my travels by myself, since I love the researching & planning part. When it came to Kalimantan though, I soon realized that this trip needed a local helping hand and how lucky I was to find Nila while roaming through pretty unsatisfactory alternatives on the web: she listened to what my requests were and arranged the most amazing itinerary in the most professional and accurate way.
We explored the majestic Mahakam river, sleeping and traveling on a houseboat (thank you Captain!), visiting local Dayak communities and tasting the most delicious food cooked 3 times a day by the super talented onboard Chef; we saw endangered orangutans and sun bears in the amazing Samboja Lodge; and wrapped up the tour by spending 4 days on the marvelous Maratua island in the Derawan archipelago: stunning beaches, marine wonders and the most dramatic sunsets with hardly any tourist in sight.
Every step of the way, we were taken care of by Nila and her amazing team of drivers, guides (Evin, you'll always be in our hearts, girl!) and local contacts. There was never an issue, never a delay, never a glitch in the perfectly organized tour plan, which was so amazing because such a peace of mind was a first for me. And keep in mind that Kalimantan is not an easy place to travel to! Roads are bumpy, English is not widely spoken, distances are long...but Nila will make it work! And if you trust her, you will be rewared with one of the most memorable trips of your life, surrounded by majestic nature and the kindest and more welcoming people on the planet.
Thank you Nila, thank you Kalimantan! We will be back for more!
