Great hikes with Ferdinand

点评：Together with my husband and 2 of our best friends we went on a few hiking trips with Ferdinand. He is a great guide and speaks very good English.
Once we went to Nyanza, where we walked through fields and villages. Ferdinand told us a lot about the environment and the people there. He translated where needed when we made contact with the villagers.
We also were there for the Umuganda, the community-day here in Rwanda. And because Ferdinand made the contact with the Rwandees we were able to participate. A great experience!
Later on in our holiday we went to Musanze, where Ferdinand lives and there we made 2 beautiful hikes with him, one going downhill from Virunga Lodge to Musanze through the villages and forest. And the next day though the fields where the people of Musanze and planting and harvesting there crops.
Again Ferdinand explained a lot of what and how the people were doing and about the birds and plants we saw.
I would definitely recommend Ferdinand as a guide.
