点评：To be honest, all the reviews gave us a bit of a fright. But when we checked into the schooner hotel, it seemed really lovely, historical, beautiful and full of character. We got room no 31, which had a beautiful seafacing view. The food tasted amazing. The people in charge, Sam and Martin, were really hospitable. They welcomed us very warmly and honestly the Indian food there was one of the best I've ever had in England. English breakfast too in the morning was really nice and fulfilling. I think guests need to bear in mind that the place is almost half a century old, 453 years old to be precise. Which is amazing. So it's important to not expect 5 star stuff and understand that many aspects of the building like electrical work etc cannot be changed without compromising the historic integrity of the building. It's so great that Northern England's sailing legacy is still being preserved by people like Sam and Martin. Will definitely visit again when we're at Alnmouth. It's now become our favorite vacation spot.
