点评:I visited today with 3 other people. Don’t live locally so not a regular. Sadly it ended up being a rather poor experience. Whilst sitting at our table we were approached by another customer telling us that they had reserved the table which we weren’t aware of and we indicated so and said we would move. We were then approached by a member of staff who said it was clearly written on a bottle on the table. A bottle sitting with menus, hand gel, flower decoration so we didn’t even consider looking at the bottle. We said we didn’t think it was very clear the staff member decided she would argue the point stating it was very clear. It really wasn’t unless you were familiar with them using bottles to write reservations on - not one of us had noticed it. Yet the staff member continued to press her point about it being very clear - we disagreed - quietly- no raised voices, no arguments. We moved. However your staff member said in quite a loud voice - stop being so rude. We were most certainly not rude but we did disagree so I assume disagreeing means being rude. I would argue as an older person who’s eyesight is not great that it wasn’t clear and what would have been a better experience was for staff member to just have let us know it was reserved and not kept pressing her point that it was very clear and not being able to accept our opinion that we didn’t see the writing on the bottle it was quite small writing and in italics. Frankly I felt like we were being ridiculed and it just wasn’t necessary. I just do not know how she could express quite clearly as she walked away we were being rude as that was far from the case. I write this because it wasn’t anything I’ve ever experienced before where a member of staff openly questioned a comment made by customers to enforce their own point rather than accept it perhaps the signage is not clear to everyone. I get that it’s quite a nice idea to use a bottle but it just - in our opinion- doesn’t work. When it was pointed out to us - we could still hardly spot it as there was lots of other writing on the bottle too. Perhaps your staff can have a thought that not everyone is a regular and are not going to pick up every item on the table to read it.
