点评：A pal of the girlfriend’s suggested we all meet up at Drift, Canty Bay as we were in the North Berwick area attending a festival.
All seemed good upon arrival, we parked up and headed over to the cafe but then the bombshell was dropped, you need to book and reserve a table if there’s more than four of you to sit down inside the cafe bit?
The woman explaining this to me looked me up and down like I was some sort of gormless moron who should have already known all of this stuff in advance?
Ok, so I just bit my tongue rather than respond aggressively at her tone of voice and her pained grimace and we opted to sit outside instead.
We found out courtesy of the girlfriend’s friend that you have to order from the vendor trailers when sat outside, and when sat inside you can not buy anything from the indoor bit and then take it out etc etc etc?
Wow, so much faff on for a drink and a slice of cake.
I parted with £14 for four bottles of ‘Australian’ ginger beer that’s funnily enough made in England after asking where’s the Irn-Bru?
I’m in Scotland and this place has signs bragging about serving locally produced stuff, but there’s no Irn-Bru, one of Scotland’s most famous exports?
The girlfriend’s friend ordered a round in, I asked for a fizzy water, the others opted for cappuccinos, they then received a ticket number and the drink was made and served later, like some ten minutes later? Hmmmm ok? Yes? What a carry on!
One positive, the views outside this Drift cafe place were great, there’s some fantastic scenery and loads of lovely fresh air but unfortunately the table that I’d picked for us was a magnet for every Tom, Dick and Harry wanting to stand over us and take photographs of themselves.
I just grinned and took very deep breaths throughout our time here as I held back my ever increasing rage. Put it this way, I’ll not be returning, it was a truly awful experience, my suggestion, brush up on some polite customer service here!

这家Drift咖啡馆的亮点之一是，外面的景色很棒，景色优美，空气清新。但不幸的是，我为我们选的那张桌子吸引了所有想站在我们面前自拍的家伙。
我们在这里的时候，我只是咧嘴一笑，深呼吸，强忍着越来越强烈的怒火。这样说吧，我不会再来了，这是一次真正糟糕的经历，我的建议是，在这里提高一些礼貌的客户服务！
