点评:DINERS BEWARE! We had heard great things about Drift, sadly the once high standards have clearly changed. Our cooked breakfast arrived stacked and covered in peashoots-to hide what was underneath. A quarter slice of unbuttered 'toast' that because everything (including homemade beans) was atop the tiny slice of bread was soggy and mushy. The 'beans' were simply tinned kidney/butter beans in an unseasoned/unspiced tinned tomato mush. The streaky bacon was just un-rendered fat, the fried egg over cooked and the mushrooms cold and unloved. The sausage, advertised as Anderson's butchers (North Berwick) was mass produced and certainly not 'locally sourced.' Upon raising a complaint the manager admitted these were from a wholesalers. Shocking, and possibly some might suggest, dishonest 'passing off' of one product for another! The coffess too were weak frothy coffees. Not flat whites. To sum up: Drift know they can get away with charging high prices for cheap food...they don't really need repeat custom. Which is just as well, because we'll certainly never go again. I would definately advise others to follow suit. Even the £15 voucher (the meal cost £60) was reluctantly provided and does little to change my mind.
We feel cheated.
