点评：The person who showed us to our table was borderline rude - she wanted us to sit at a 'prepared' table but we wanted a recently vacated window table - she made an issue of having to clean the table, even though we were happy to wait. Service varied between slow and non-existant - we had to order drinks, meals and dessert at the bar as no one came to ask for our orders. At 8pm there wasn't a single member of staff visible - even though there were at least five on duty plus the manager! had the impression that the staff prefere to hide away in the kitchen rather than engage with customers! There was one member of staff - Layla - who was helpful and resolutely cheerful - despite the very negative atmosphere that seemed to exist among the staff. Breakfast was much the same with the two staff on duty chatting rather than clearing tables and refreshing the food counters. As we were leaving there seemed to be a 'problem' between one of the kitchen staff and the manager. Suffise to say we went elsewhere for dinner on our second night, and breakfast in the morning. On the other hand, the staff at the Premier Inn were fantastic!! Helpful, professional and above and beyond!! Will be happy to stay there agian but will pass on the Brewers Fayre - unless the undervalued and hardworking Layla is the manager. I don't usually bother leaving reviews but was so disappointed with the pub - and we use Premier Inns and neighbouring pubs a lot - that I felt the need to express an opinion.
