点评:A rainy day in January in Carmona. The restaurant where we had planned to eat was closed.
We dropped in here on spec., without checking TA reviews. It’s a small bar. Wide menu.
If this is 23 of 46 in Carmona, I can’t wait to try the others.
Service was friendly and attentive. Food arrived promptly and I saw the wait staff keeping an eye on our progress with our starters.
Cruzcampo was fresh and tasty. Next time I’ll try a fino. I saw a local order one and the glass was taken from the freezer.
We had two half portions to start. Merva with red peppers and tuna salad. Both excellent.
Then we both had full portions of Solomillo Al whiskey. Very rich and tasty - in sharp contrast to the same dish at high-TA-ranked El Baratillo in Seville yesterday.
It was worth coming to Carmona for the lunch alone.
The weather cut our visit to Carmona short, so we will be back.
We are looking forward to returning to El Tablao too.
