点评：We had family in town over New Year’s weekend and decided to “treat” them to the best restaurant in South Arkansas. At least the best one we have found around Camden and El Dorado. But this is what is wrong with this part of the world and why we are so disappointed. Again.
The number 1 out 24 restaurants in Camden rating is correct, but it is not because it is so wonderful, it is because the rest are so bad!! We waited a long time for the food. My wife and I do not mind. We enjoy each other’s company and because we come from a different part of the world, we are used to spending 2 to 3 hours having dinner in a good restaurant, but our American born guests we very irritated and we were embarrassed, especially when the food finally came.
I did not enjoy my Duke Burger, after I had the best burgers in a long time in Hot Springs last week. I requested the meat to be medium, but no joy. It was dry with absolutely no flavor or taste. It was like eating paper. It is telling if you have to apply gobs of ketchup to get it down. The fries were no good either. The Shrimp and Grits was unappetizing, looked as bad as it tasted. The Pork Chop tasteless and dry, needed every drop of gravy to get it down. The Chicken Breast rubbery.
They just do not seem to care or have any idea of how to do produce or provide excellent products and services in this region. The housing, contractors, services, medical establishment, stores, restaurants, etc. all suck. To be fair there is one business, a Nursery and Gift shop that is excellent, but that is it.
