点评:A friend and I visited the long established Dinner Bell Cafe and Cantina today and my rating would be 3 ½, a bit above average, so call it a 4. The service was exceptional (5), the food came quickly (5), my friend’s bacon was perfectly cooked to his specifications (5), and he enjoyed the biscuits and gravy (4). My “Belgian waffle” was crispy on the outside but doughy on the inside (2), and the apparently previously frozen, sliced strawberries were still cold from the refrigerator, but quite tasty (3). We each took home one of the famous cinnamon rolls and for me it was a great disappointment. I enjoy soft, light, fresh cinnamon rolls and this roll, unfortunately, was the opposite of those characteristics although it did have a good amount of cinnamon (2). I would go back because of the great service and to try other items on the menu. As mentioned previously in another post, one unusual thing is that they recently raised prices but had not received their new printed menus, so there were clearly visible signs advising patrons that prices were actually about 20% higher than on the current menus. Not a big deal, but unusual.
