点评:When I eat out and drop a few hundred dollar bills, I am looking at the whole experience of an evening out. First of all, kudos to the server. He was properly attentive, and every aspect of the service was A+. Secondly, we enjoyed the food. My hubby thought his French onion soup was marvelous (and he is picky). He said his steak was above average but not stellar. I particularly enjoyed the lobster bisque which was poured hot over the lobster at the table (a nice presentation op.) The scallops were like the jewels I had on PEI---plump, cooked perfectly, and accompanied by tasty risotto with peas. The side of corn we shared was fresh and juicy. Now for the negative. It was so dark in the restaurant that we could hardly see to walk out, let alone sign the bill. It was past being "moody" and at the irritating stage. Secondly on the negative side was the soundtrack. I am generally quite tolerant of various "styles," but this pound pound pound of a beat in the background would work better in a bar than in a fine dining establishment. Put on some low, light jazz or ANYTHING except that constant pounding, for heaven's sake! I doubt we will return. Since there are many fine dining opportunities in Scottsdale and Phoenix, we will spend our money at a place where the total environment is more enjoyable for us.
