点评:We visit Tucson every summer for the last 17 years. There was a monsoon storm late afternoon and after the rain stopped we were looking for a place that served Italian cuisine. Two places came to mind. Carrabba’s was on that list. We arrived around 6:30 and were seated right away. Right away, when Michael came to our table we could tell that he was in a hurry. This was surprising to us since there was only three other couples seated in our section. When I was unsure if I wanted coffee, he told my wife, “When you decide I’ll come back.” It went down hill from there. I did decide on coffee and my wife ordered a glass of water. When I told him I wanted plenty of cream he seemed upset when I told hm that three little half and half pods was not enough. Begrudgingly, he did bring two more pods a bit later. Both of our meals came with a choice of a side salad. We both ordered the same garden salad. We also ordered it with the creamy Parmesan. This was a mistake. The dressing was not one you could pour but instead it was like pure mayonnaise with way too much Parmesan, with a gritty consistency. The salad also seemed off. I ordered a trio of pork tenderloins with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
My wife ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The sauce was runny and not very cheesy or buttery. As for my meal two of the pork tenderloins were burnt badly on the bottom. So much so I had to cut off the black char. Needless to say our server only stopped by to drop off our food. He never asked if I wanted a coffee refill. He did pass by very quickly to refill my wife’s water without saying a word as if he was just too busy to even interact with us. We go out to eat to enjoy time together and to have a good meal. Our two dishes were just over $23 each. This place use to be really good, but I have to wonder if COVID messed it up. If you want better Italian food the keep on driving down Oracle Road to the Tucson Mall where there is an Olive Garden location.
