Vandalized vehicle stolen tires and rims at their parking lot

点评：We got a call from the police at 3 am this Sunday, June 16, 2024, letting us know that out truck was vandalized and the rims and tires were stolen and the truck was sitting on center block bricks.
No one from the hotel staff reached out to us to let us know at all! We had to be woken up by the cops themselves. Apparently officer told us that this has been happening a lot at this hotel particularly same spot we had parked our car. As a matter of fact this happened last week which is why the officer decided to drive by and thus finding out truck sitting on center blocks what are the odds??! Right
I expressed my frustration w the officer who said this happens a lot at this hotel. I asked about camera footage and the officer replied with their cameras (particularly the one by the scene) doesn’t work.
Why couldn’t staff warn their customers if this has been ongoing??!! I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a manager. The gentleman said the Manager was not it until 7 am. I expressed my frustration and asked him why aren’t you guys warning us about this?! I asked if they had security driving by if this is the “norm” he said we do but that security “called out tonight” ha really. Then he claims a guest notified them of this but they couldn’t tell us anything until we contacted the police. What a lie the police called us non stop until we answered the phone. Staff didn’t even bother notifying us.
We are now stuck here 5 hrs away from our house in California. We are not around the corner. We came to bring our son to play for his travel baseball team and now we are stuck forced to figure out how to get tires and get home.
I am beyond upset and disappointed wiyh this hotel and due diligence they have failed to do. They need to warn their customers. Many come here for days at a time to play travel sports. Ugh what a great way to celebrate Father’s Day!
Doubletree Hilton get it together! Be more vigilant and transparent with your customers who are spending their hard work money to stay at a “reputable safe” hotel.
