If it weren't for the palm trees, you'd think it was in Belfast...
Natural Science Museum的点评
点评:The Natural Science Museum is located in this dominant building for the center, although it was originally built as a City Hall. If it weren't for the palm trees, then looking at the Town Hall, you'd think you'd been to Belfast... But there are no palm trees in Belfast, so it's still Durban. The architect of the City Hall did not bother with a new project, but took a ready-made project of the City Hall of the capital of Northern Ireland. The building was erected in 1910 in the Edwardian neo-Baroque style. The impressive central dome rises 48 meters (the height of a 16-storey building) and is surrounded by 4 smaller domes. Four domes are decorated with statues, each of which symbolizes literature, art, music or trade. The pathos and pretentiousness peculiar to the beautiful pre-war Belle Epoque, which burned down on the fronts of the First World War.
