点评:I was so excited for my first visit to state 48 because my friends have told me how great this restaurant is plus the name honors the great state of Arizona. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience my first time. So we made a reservation a month out from the George Strait concert for 10, confirmed with 9 on the Thursday before and then found someone for the ticket and called day off to bump it back up to 10 when we were informed there was no reservation like it was no longer "in the system". Alright, no problem, we worked over the phone to get a new reservation earlier at 2:30 pm and scrambled the group to make it over to West Gate early, whew. So we get there, it's 88F outside and it's hot inside. Request for AC were denied, we were having trouble even getting water served, and we had a few older people in the group. We had flies buzzing around our food, there was no soap in the bathroom, and our table was never bused for 2.5 hours. Everything took very long (30 minutes for water after multiple requests). It seemed like our waitress was working very hard, but we still couldn't get service pointing to poor management decisions and bad operations planning. I certainly hope the owners/management can figure out how to fix these restaurant basics to bring State 48 up to a minimum standard. I'm hoping this was just a fluke. I'd be interested in what State 48 could offer to my group to make up for our poor experience so that we could come back for a wonderful time that was unusually initially expected.
