点评：Yes, there's the state-of-the-art resort built and curated to invoke an environment at one with nature with its earth-tone colors and textures, open-air floor plan overlooking spectacular views of rolling greenery leading to the Pacific. There are picture-perfect bungalows nestled into the hillside as you stroll past and down the winding road to the yoga platform surrounded by mango trees and the sound of macaws. There are indescribably flavorful local fruits and clean ingredient meals prepared for a Michelin rating. There are countless other breathtaking accommodations but the magic is in the collection of extraordinary people associated with this experiment, connected and committed to a vision of symbiosis with the Jaco community. No matter how long you stay you will become deeply ingrained in the culture of this rich coast. The people, with their inherent gratitude for community, well-being, and giving back, are a commodity far more valuable than oil or gold. It’s the kind of place that will force you to evaluate what’s most important to you and it might just be as simple as surfing with family. We found Surf Synergy through a Google search but as soon as we got on the shuttle there from the San Jose airport we realized we were amongst friends. A group who had already lucked upon this gem of a place and were returning as we will now too. The guests we spent the week with ranged in age from about ten to seventy years old, with a vast array of backgrounds and surfing abilities and it all worked out beautifully. It’s clear that everyone involved with Surf Synergy; the owners, the management, the staff, the instructors, and the friends are wholeheartedly invested in its success and you feel it. As a Mainer at heart, I come from a state where our motto is 'the way life should be,' and Costa Rica is a kindred spirit in its 'pura vida.' Thank you Surf Synergy for welcoming us into your family and sharing the surf... and so much more.
