点评：While on vacation in Perdido Key, FL we were tired of seafood and decided we wanted Italian. Carmela’s fit the bill! Great atmosphere, and our waiter Carter was outstanding! He gave us a full rundown of the specials, bar selections etc… and was friendly and helpful. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious, with an unusual twist as it had diced kalamata olives in it. My husband, daughter and I all had caesar salads which were perfectly made. My daughter’s best friend stole a crouton off of her plate and Carter noticed and quietly came back with a little bowl of croutons for her friend. We were so impressed at his attentiveness! All of our entrees were delicious with generous portions. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, my husband had ammazzafame (penne with sausage, mushrooms, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and capers in a white wine lemon sauce), my daughter had gnocchi with fresh basil tomato sauce and her friend had penne with a creamy vodka tomato sauce. Each one was really good, but my favorite was my husband’s dish. So light and flavorful and the sauce was to die for! For dessert we WAY over ordered and ended up taking leftovers home. Tiramisu, Strawberry Sorbet, Lemon Ricotta Cake and a chocolate mousse/torte cake. The lemon cake and the sorbet were the stars of the show to me, but my husband said the tiramisu was the best he’s had in the US since having it in Italy when he was in the Navy. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back on our next trip to the beach!
