Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge的点评
点评：The positives: Go For The View and the lake. Both are amazing. Stay in a chalet. We had 403 and it's been somewhat renovated. The trees have been cleared so you have this great view from the balcony on the back of the chalet. We had coffee with the eagles this morning. I would say the furnishings are basic but fine. It was clean although 4 or 5 people sharing a chalet with one outdated bathroom is not the best. But it had a kitchen and a game table, TVS in every room and these huge windows with the view. The beds were very comfortable. The sofa in the den area is NOT a sofa bed. Front desk personnel confirmed that every chalet had a sofa bed and that is is not the case. We wondered why a national chain like Hilton taking this over and completely making it a star property? It has So Much Potential. The restaurant is good but only open on the weekends so plan ahead and bring snacks. The pool and gym were both good. Plan to just sit outside on the back balcony and take in the views. Really exceptional. The main lodge and check in area are better than expected. It's a lot like Brasstown Bald in GA but bigger. Everybody working here is super nice. I see so many good things about this place, but it still needs more updating and they are so close to hitting it out of the ballpark but still needs some work. We heard from several other guests that the rooms at the main lodge are outdated. I cannot comment on that since we didn't stay there but we were glad the chalets had been updated recently. Also great are the golf course on property with nicely manicured greens and the zipline service. Both are on the agenda tomorrow. Plenty to do. As I said, so close and so much potential.
