I had ordered vegetable schezwan noodles and salt and pepper baby corn three days ago from Zaitoon's Adyar branch. Being lactose intolerant and a vegetarian I had requested the restaurant staff taking my order that my preferences be honoured. They promised to take care of it.
The food tastes good. However, after eating more than half of my noodles I chewed upon something hard. Upon inspecting, I found that it was an animal bone. Undoubtedly, I was repulsed and informed the staff.
They were apologetic and didn't charge me for the noodles.
However, this is completely unacceptable for such a leading restaurant or any restaurant for that matter. How can a bone creep inside vegetarian noodles?
Are they recycling half eaten contaminated noodles by others?
Are the vegetarian cooking pots not separate?
There should be a thorough investigation because hygiene is extremely important.
