Nazca Lodge的点评
点评：Tourists flocking to Peru will know of this historical location due to the incredible, ancient Nasca Lines which can be visited in person or, even better yet, flown over during a half hour flight.
As for the Nazca Lodge? Wow, where to even begin! Not to be confused with the Nasca Hostel (as was the case with our taxi driver), the Nazca Lodge is a beautiful, hidden gem located just outside of the city of Nasca.
We had no idea what to expect really other than the images we had seen online. As mentioned, our poor taxi driver was lost and brought us to the wrong location. Thus, we decided to call Enrique who was an absolute delight to deal with in helping us, and our driver, in finding this superb location which is neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Nasca.
Enrique met us at the gates along with Sandros, both of whom were so helpful in bringing all of our luggage, backpacks, and purchases up to our site. We immediately felt as if we had stepped into a fairy tale story. There really is no other way to describe this beautiful place!
From there, we were given a full tour of the grounds whereby Enrique explained the plants and trees they have on site, how they grow their own herbs and spices including mint, basil, lemongrass and rosemary to name but a few, along with explaining the history behind the location and how it since became his family home.
The location is magnificent and features a large swimming pool which is wonderful for those who are travelling alone, as a couple, or with children. Along with a swim up bar which offers an incredible selection of cocktails and drinks made with Pisco, the location is tastefully decorated with palm trees, patio seating, four curved bench seats by the bar, along with a larger setting for groups travelling together. The bar itself is a site to behold!
Although we arrived late due to our itinerary, Enrique's wife, Christina, prepared two gorgeous meals for us which were plentiful in portion size and quite delicious. There was more than enough for us and two of our children to eat.
The following day, we were scheduled to fly over the Nasca Lines but our location given was incorrect due to errors in Google Maps and Apple apps. However, Enrique was a gracious host and called the airport, which is only ten minutes from his location, and arranged for the driver to pick us up from his lodge. If that was not enough, after such an incredible flying experience, Enrique allowed for us to stay at his lodge as our itinerary went later into the day before going on to our next location which was stressful for us as we did not know what else to do with our extra time. This allowed us to rest, relax, swim, shower, eat, and enjoy a few tasty beverages! In addition, we were amazed as Enrique brought another couple who had just arrived and was speaking to them fluently in their native language of German! He also spoke fluent English as well as that of Spanish! A man of global knowledge and language!
If there is one drawback from our experience, it is that we did not have more time available to us to spend a second night at the Nazca Lodge with Enrique, Sandros, and the rest of the staff who made us feel so incredibly welcome as their guests! Do yourselves a favour and book to enjoy the rich cultural experience and uniqueness of the Nazca Lodge. You certainly will not regret it. Five Stars all around! We would love to have the chance to stay here again!
Lastly, it is good to note each sleeping arrangement can accommodate for two adults and two children as Booking Dot Com advised us to book two sets of separate accommodations which was not required.
