点评：This place is absolutely phenomenal! The Ice Cream Factory is more than just a simple ice cream parlour. They offer a vast selection of sweet treats, confectioneries, pastries, snacks and a few savoury items too. I've known about The Ice Cream Factory for about 10 years, but have only had the pleasure of visiting it on one occasion. This I had to change, so on my most recent trip to Lagos, I was hell bent on eating their ice cream again. I remember it being really good from all those years ago.
The Ice Cream Factory has 4 branches spread throughout Lagos. This one, (on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1) occupies the same building as Yin Yang Express- a fast food Chinese joint. Got to try that as well. You can read my seperate review of that. Yin Yang is located on the first floor, while The Ice Cream Factory is on the ground level. Don't know whether they are part of a franchise, or have some type of partnership. Having visited both places, I must say that the building's finishing is most impressive.👌🏽
It's worth mentioning that The Ice Cream Factory is a drop-dead gorgeous space! 😍 It had a Pop Art-esque vibe to it. Eye-catching, vibrant colors of mostly fuschia pink, white, black, with splashes of yellow were used for the interior. All the chairs and tables were pure white, plus a few plush, leather arm chairs against a wall. These were black. Creative, 'gravity-defying' portraits of ice cream were rife, and a faux brick wall to one corner was really cool. Kindly refer to my posted pictures of The Ice Cream Factory's extremely attractive 'environs'. 🤩
My favourite part about The Ice Cream Factory's interior was that they had an entire wall- (just by the entrance door), with humorous ice cream and sweet treats' sayings and proverbs written in black against a white background/wall. Check out my pictures of it. There were loads of hilarious statements, but these were some of my favourite: "Life Is Like Ice Cream, Enjoy Before It Melts", "Dessert Is Always An Important Part Of A Balanced Diet", "Ice Cream Is The Answer, Who Cares What The Question Is", "There Is No We In Cake", "Chocolate Comes From Cocoa, Which Is A Tree, That Makes It A Plant; Chocolate Is Salad" and "Dessert Is Like A Feel-Good Song, The Best Ones Make You Dance". I took a good while reading them before I ordered my ice cream! 😆 So, so fun and unique! 😎
Now to The Ice Cream Factory's 'stellar' menu! As I mentioned earlier, the offerings here are quite extensive. They had an astounding 35 flavors! 😳 Didn't expect them to have that many, so I was pleasantly surprised. There were 32 flavors on their Instagram page. The FLAVOUR SELECTION(S) are listed alphabetically. They are AMARENA, BELGIAN CHOCOLATE, BLONDE CARAMEL SWIRL, BUTTER PECAN, CAPPUCCINO CHIP, CARAMEL COOKIE CRUMBLE, CHOC. CHIP COOKIE DOUGH, CHOCOLATE CREAM, CHOCOLATE PUFFS, CHOCOLATE WAFER CHIP, CHOCOLATE & WHISKY CREAM, COOKIES CREAM, COOKIES & CREAM INTENSE, DULCE DE LECHE (CARAMEL SWIRLS),

Wow, just typing that made my mouth water! 🤤 So, as you can see, The Ice Cream Factory most definitely has an incredible selection of spectacular flavors, and as far as I could see, every single flavour I listed was available. There's no way on God's green earth that anyone wouldn't find a flavour that 'tickles their tastebuds' from this rich selection!
Each scoop was a decent 1,500 Naira. 7 TOPPINGS were priced at an additional 500 Naira. They had CARAMEL SAUCE, CHOCOLATE SAUCE, MILK CHOCOLATE SHAVINGS, WAFFLE CONE PIECES, WHIPPED CREAM, WHITE CHOCOLATE SHAVINGS and STRAWBERRY SAUCE. I saw 10 Toppings on their Instagram menu. The Ice Cream Factory had 4 'FACTORY CREATIONS' of 'Build Your Sundae' using a 2 Step system, all with a different price tag. There was a fifth STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE option on the in store menu, as opposed to the take-away pamphlet. 4 DESSERT COMBINATIONS featured APPLE CRUMBLE, BUTTER & SUGAR CREPE, LARGE WAFFLE and STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING. For the CAKE SELECTIONS, there were 6 types- CARROT CAKE, CHOCOLATE CREAM CAKE, MADEIRA CAKE SLICE, NEW YORK CHEESECAKE, RED VELVET and STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE.
The Ice Cream Factory's Savoury items were in the form of 4 FACTORY GRILLED PANINI MELTS. There was CHEESE & MUSHROOM- (VEGETARIAN), CHICKEN SALAD, FACTORY CLUB and HAM & CHEESE MELT. They had 14 BAKED GOODS; everything from MUFFINS (8 kinds), to COOKIES (2 kinds), to MADEIRA CAKE SLICE/LOAF and BELGIAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIE. In addition to all these sinfully wondrous delicacies, The Ice Cream Factory also listed 6 EXTRAS/SIDES, (accompaniments to their Grilled Panini Melts), 3 MILKSHAKES, 6 COLD BEVERAGES and HOT BEVERAGES. 1.2 Litre Tubs were available for pre-order. As you can see, there's something for everyone here at The Ice Cream Factory.
I feel that this 'copious' review of mine speaks volumes about The Ice Cream Factory! It's like 'enough said' about this phenomenal place already! With me being soooo spoilt for choice, I finally decided on going for one scoop each of the SALTED CARAMEL and SPECULICIOUS flavors on a cone. Something about the 'esses' today just spoke to me! 😄 Just as I anticipated, both flavours were simply delicious; super creamy, smooth, sweet, and dense! 😋 It was just like an ice cream ought to be. Both were absolutely, 100% pure perfection! 😋👌🏽 The only tiny issue I had was that the cone was a bit dense and thick towards the base. The upper part was fine though, crispy, well baked and crunchy.
I have to mention the service at The Ice Cream Factory. I was served by JANET and SUCCESS. These two delightful ladies were just as sweet as the ice cream they were 'scooping up' at The Ice Cream Factory! 🥰 Janet was an absolute gem; so warm, with an amazing personality. Success was quite the professional- very friendly and helpful. Ice Cream Factory deserve top marks and a big kudos for assembling such fantastic staffers. Their service was unparalleled, and I felt like having my ice cream in the shop, just to continue interacting with them. Keep up the great job my ' Sweet Sistaz'! 👊🏼💪🏽 I seriously commend The Ice Cream Factory on this because good, solid service is a bit hard to come by in Nigeria 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Management should take note of the excellent service that Janet and Success are providing and perhaps reward them accordingly?!?! After the spectacular experience I had on this recent visit to The Ice Cream Factory, it now ranks way up there- (with Hans & René), as my favorite and/or the best ice cream in Lagos as far as I'm concerned! 🍦👍🏽🍧👌🏽🍨 I read somewhere that Ice Factory serves 'Premium Ice Cream'..... indeed; I couldn't agree more! The ice cream here is high quality, top-notch and world class, and I really enjoyed my experience at The Ice Cream Factory, and cannot wait to return. That way, I'd get to try all those other treats that look and sound so divine! 😋 In fact, I think I'm 'on the fence', as to which ice cream joint is the best in Lagos! 🤔 Now I'm not so sure it's the one I used to think! The only reason why I didn't rate them perfectly was because of the disapointment with my cone. For me, the experience just has to be flawless, but it damn near was! 😁 So do endeavour to check out The Ice Cream Factory. 🙏🏼 It's such a bright, attractive spot, with an aesthetically pleasing ambiance, fabulous service, and your one-stop, ultimate destination for 'premium', mind-blowinginly delicious ice cream, and then some! The ice cream here can 'hold it's own' against any Gelateria or high-end Italian style ice cream in the world! I kid you not! Trust me....it's that good! 😉 The Ice Cream Factory has definitely 'got it going on'! This place is 'da bomb', and you will surely find something that appeals to you.
