T-Bone's Authentic Philly Style Cheesesteaks and Hoagies的点评
点评：It's my first time in Birmingham, AL and I'm here for several weeks on business so like usual, I ask the locals where the best places to eat are! On MANY occasions, T-Bone's was brought up so tonight's the night I try them out!
Atmosphere/Appearance: It's a fairly small restaurant right downtown Birmingham so there's no private parking, but I didn't have much trouble finding a spot on the street. Once inside you're immersed in the pure character of this place. It's not fancy and it's decorated with comic book covers, random stickers and the like. It's also a wide-open restaurant where you can see your food being cooked right on the legendary flat-top grill. The clanging of the spatulas while chopping up up the meat is like music that fills the air. Lol.
Service: There isn't much service since you just go to the counter to place your order then go sit down until your order is brought to you. Simple.
Food: Of course I went with their traditional T-Bone Philly Cheesesteak with all the fixings including onions, mushrooms and peppers. However, there are SO MANY different kinds you can get with all different kinds of proteins. I also got a side of curly fries. They were seasoned SO WELL, crispy, fried perfectly and not too salty. Dare I say they were better than Arby's? Indeed. The cheesesteak was HEAVY. Lol. There was a lot of food tucked inside the soft roll. The meat was hot, seasoned well, hearty, cooked excellently and was better than some cheesesteaks I had IN Philadelphia!
Value: My footlong cheesesteak was $10.25 and to add the curly fries was an additional $3.00. Not bad at all.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this place. It's simple, straight to the point and it's not somewhere you'll spend hours in. In and out. I like it and I will definitely revisit this place whenever I'm in town again.
