点评：Craving for some Chinese food for a change, I decided to try this place after seeing some great reviews. It’s located about 500 meters up the Venus Line from the famous Gozaishi Shrine, known for its doburoku (unrefined sake), on the opposite side from Chino Station. It’s a bit out of the way unless you have a car, but there's plenty of parking.
When I entered, there were no staff in sight, but a lady quickly came out after I rang the bell at the reception and showed me to my seat. The interior is spacious, with private rooms and well-spaced tables that create a relaxed atmosphere.
I ordered the popular Chen Mapo Tofu set meal using the tablet at the table. There were already other customers seated nearby, giving the impression this place has quite a following. The meal arrived soon after—with salad, lightly pickled vegetables, soup, and almond jelly for dessert—offering great value.
The Chen Mapo Tofu came in a generous portion and was definitely spicy, just like the reviews said. However, the huajiao (Sichuan pepper) lacked punch—it felt sticky, maybe due to being frozen—and the dish was a bit sweeter than I expected. It didn’t quite meet my taste.
That said, the set was only 880 yen, which is extremely reasonable. I’d like to come back and try something else on the menu next time!
