点评：My husband surprised me and took me out to start our week, which was a nice start to a long one ahead. I didn't know anything about this place but I gotta say I like it. I didn't have to make a decision except what wine to order and then the food just came.
We are huge meat eaters and the simplicity of doing one thing only but getting it right is up our alley. The crusty bread was good, the salad was really simple but the dressing on the bibb and mixed greens was delicious. I could have had more salad and I think next time I will ask for that. The steak and frites was good and it was medium rare just as we like it. I know the sauce is a "thing" but I don't typically sauce my steak so I could skip it. It's more of a gravy than a sauce. I actually thought that could be a thing - keep the steak and frities but mix it up with different sauces either by selection or maybe by season - but would that complicate the simplicity I don't know. Just a thought.
Yes we will be back, it's as easy and likeable as our go-to of BGR, but a nicer option. We did have dessert (another decision and we liked all the options) and I give them extra kudos for slightly heating the chocolate cake instead of cold which makes the frosting creamy, with a side of ice cream it was perfect.
So I start the week on a high note, thanks!
