点评:I visited Austin & took my niece and her friend to dinner at Eberly.
We had OK service to begin with that deteriorated after our waiter delivered our main course.
The first bottle of wine and very lovely bread turned up with no problem. We ordered a dozen oysters ($48) which were fairly dry/not very briny or substantial at all, rather a disappointment.
Our mains arrived at the point at which our bottle of wine had run dry. We all tried to flag down our waiter several times but he was conspicuous-avoidance mode.
I ordered the chicken and gnocchi - the latter was wonderful, the chicken was good but slightly under-salted and frustratingly there was no salt on the table and we seemingly didn't have a waiter any longer.
Finally we flagged down a *different* waiter than our own who brought us a bottle of wine and some salt, but by that time I'd eaten the chicken.
Our original waiter turned up in time to offer us desert - at this point we had not seen him since he'd dropped off our main and dashed away some 40 minutes previously. I was surprised that our bill came to $430 for 3 people and the service was quite so poor.
Food was good (oysters merely OK) but the price cannot support this kind of apathetic/mercurial waiter service.
