Alvin Antique Center & Marketplace的点评
点评：We have been to the Antique Center at least 5 times, and we have been able to find/buy items of interest on almost all visits. Some of the problems I noted in my first review remain, but it does have a wide range of items for many different tastes.
Some of the dealers are way too overpriced, but others seem to have a better "feel" for the prices and are far closer to what they should be--IF, they expect to sell goods! We get the sense that some of the dealers are simply using the space a storage unit instead of a sales booth.
Since the place is so large, the staff at the front desk does not have a real sense as to where you may find specific items. However, if the item is "common" they can point you in the right direction. They also can help if the item of interest is unique or unusual because they do know the dealers on a first name basis!
Bottom line, we will continue to stop here when we are in the area because you never know what will "pop up" here! The downtown bar/restaurant by the old railroad station on the main street is excellent. The portions are huge and it is very popular.
