点评:It’s a great place to get authentic raw Japanese sushi at an affordable price. My cousin, husband, and I were looking for a place to grab sushi for a late lunch. After searching for sushi restaurants nearby on Google, we noticed that most were already closed at 2 PM and would reopen around 5 PM. However, Inase closes at 3 PM, and we arrived there around 1:45 PM. We took a taxi after visiting the Ramen Noodle Museum, and it was about a 15-minute ride from there.
Upon entering, we were told to sit in the high-top bar area and noticed that the restaurant was very small but had a cozy environment. Two Japanese ladies were also having lunch, and thankfully one of them helped us to order because the owner, who prepares the sushi right in front of us, only spoke Japanese. They had an English menu, and we also had a translation device, but it was very helpful to have someone translate for us, and we were very appreciative of her assistance.
We ordered 12 rolls each (#4 and #5), and everything was so fresh and delicious. The meal also came with the best miso soup and green tea that I’ve ever had. The ladies asked us how we had found the restaurant, as they and the owner wanted to know. They told us that “only important people come here.” It was a true gem for sure, and unbeknownst to us, they informed us that we were in the “sushi district.”
Make sure to bring cash, as they only accept cash, and have a translation device if you do not speak Japanese. We were pleased with the warm service, authentic food, and we will definitely return when we visit Yokohama again.
