点评：We did the Best of Ephesus tour out of Kusadasi Turkey, while on a cruise. The Mercedes van was very roomy and comfortable. (We had 8 adults) The driver was very good and our guide was pleasant and informative. My only complaint was that the “attraction fees” were not outlined clearly. There is a price to view the house of the Virgin Mary, as well as the ancient city of Ephesus. It was still cheaper and a much smaller group than with the cruise excursions, but I personally like to know all costs up front so that I am prepared. I learned to ask more questions when booking private excursions. At the end of the tour, our guide asked us if we would like to see silk worm cocoons and how they make the silk. We thought that would be interesting and therefore, agreed to go. It was indeed interesting and so was viewing the process of how a Turkish carpet is made. We had a new appreciation for the work involved. Be prepared for some pressure to buy after the presentation. We expected that and we were firm with our answers. Other people may find this very uncomfortable. Overall, the tour was good for the price but make sure you are aware of all costs.
