Theft and lie at Hyatt Downtown, Albany NY

点评：We stayed at this hotel Friday, May 16 and checked out Saturday at approximately 10 AM. About 4 1/2 hours later I realized I left my jewelry and some clothing in a drawer in room 505. We immediately called the hotel and were told they found nothing. That evening we called twice and were told they could not go in the room and we needed to speak to a manager. No manager was available Sunday morning so we drove back 1 1/2 hours to speak in person to a manager. The manager assured me they routinely check drawers when a guest leaves. She agreed to check lost and found, maybe a second time. I told her what clothing was missing and she came back with a bag of my clothes, but no jewelry. Whoever turned the bag in lied about where it came from, room 506, not 5:05 where we stayed. We reported all this to the Hyatt customer service. They said we would be hearing from the hotel. The hotel never reached out to us since that Sunday. Another call to customer service advised us the hotels insurance company would call us. Several days later no call. Again I contacted customer service to get the name and phone number of the insurance agent. He claimed he sent an email to my husband. He did not but told me I should send pictures of me wearing the jewelry to a return email he was sending to me. It is now three days later and I have no address to send my pictures to. We paid slightly under $400 for this room that was sparsely appointed and we had to self park for $15 . Shame on Hyatt for this poor service.
