点评：We (a family of 4) stayed at Dongarmatha Eco Care Stay in December 2024. We were traveling to Goa and sought a stopover, choosing Chiplun to explore its birding opportunities. After researching online, we selected Dongarmatha, expertly managed by Shraddha and her husband Mangesh.
Mangesh, an avid birder and nature enthusiast, shared his extensive knowledge with us. The hosts arranged a boat ride on the Vashisht River to spot crocodiles and a visit to Govindgad Fort, regaling us with fascinating stories and facts about Chiplun and its surroundings.
The homestay's tranquil setting, perched atop a small hill overlooking a miniature forest, is nothing short of breathtaking. As a city dweller seeking refuge from the chaos, you will find this peaceful and serene oasis utterly mesmerizing.
A notable aspect of this homestay is its strict no-smoking and no-alcohol policy, ensuring a disturbance-free stay, devoid of loud gatherings and parties.
The rooms, though simple, are impeccably clean and hygienic. The homemade Maharashtrian meals are truly delicious. The staff is exceptionally supportive, catering to all our requests.
To keep guests entertained, the homestay offers a variety of games. Moreover, our host arranged a fascinating stargazing session using his telescope. He also accompanied us on guided nature walks, sharing his expertise and passion for the surroundings.
The warm hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. Our overall experience was outstanding, making this homestay a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and worthy of a repeat visit.
