EEST - The Westin Gurgaon的点评
点评：I have been a loyal guest at the Westin Gurgaon for the past decade, enjoying various aspects of the hotel's offerings. However, my recent dining experience at their restaurant, Eest, left me disheartened, particularly with the Omakase set.
To start, the sashimi presented to us was evidently frozen, lacking the freshness one would expect from a premium Japanese dining experience. This was a significant letdown, as the essence of good sashimi lies in its freshness and quality.
Moving on to the tempura, it was a far cry from the authentic, delicately battered and lightly fried tempura I anticipated. Instead, what was served appeared to be a haphazard assortment of items, fried without the finesse or technique that real tempura embodies. It seemed clear that the preparation lacked the touch of a seasoned Japanese chef.
We didn’t even finish any of our food and desperately wanted to leave.
While the ambiance of Eest and the service provided by the staff were commendable, they could not compensate for the food quality, which was markedly subpar for the price point. Dining at Eest, especially for an Omakase set, should be a showcase of culinary expertise and quality ingredients, neither of which were met during my visit.
It pains me to write this review, as I have always held the Westin Gurgaon in high regard. Nevertheless, I believe in providing honest feedback, especially when it concerns an establishment I have supported for years. For those seeking an authentic and high-quality Japanese dining experience, I regretfully suggest looking elsewhere. Eest, in its current state, does not meet the mark and should be reconsidered unless significant improvements are made to the food quality.
