Great experience with Islanders Galapagos

点评：We booked our daytrip to Espanola through Islanders Galapagos and it was easy. The small yacht used was comfortable and the food (breakfast and lunch) was plentiful and good. Because we had just come from the Samba, we knew our wetsuit and fin sizes . I emailed Emilee (she owns the company with her husband) and she kindly dropped off our gear for us in numbered bags at our hotel at 5 pm the day before our cruise. My daughter needed a slightly smaller wetsuit and so we emailed Emilee and she had another wetsuit ready for us in the morning. We met at 5:50 am and got back about 5 pm in the afternoon. It was a 3 hour navigation each way with a 1 hour snorkel and a 2 hour hike on Espanola. The naturalist guide, Karen, was good. However, Espanola itself was a bit underwhelming. I had probably unreasonable and uninformed expectations about the Waved Albatross (and after seeing all that we saw on the Samba, felt a bit of a letdown). We indeed saw the albatross but not in abundance, and it was super-duper hot and humid on the island. And the courtship dance happened in April/May; now the Waved Albatross are sitting on their nests. We did see some subspecies of marine iguanas in green and red colors which was kind of cool. In hindsight, we probably should have gone to Kicker Rock instead; only a 1 hour navigation each way and more snorkeling. All that being said, Islanders Galapagos itself was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them. If only our schedule allowed us to go to Kicker Rock with them...
