Fine but not as good as the zoo

点评：We visited the zoo the year before and had a great time so we were excited to try the Safari since we were back in the area. First, be aware that the safari is about 30 miles from the zoo itself so it’s likely you are not going to do both in the same day.
Once you enter, most of the safari is on a non-paved road and while that’s fine, in many places it’s fairly rough and bumpy and they could have done a better job of making it a smoother ride.
You’ll see some animals along the way like bison, and there are places you can get out and do a short walk and see things like an eagle. I also recommend the prairie dog area right in front of the main visitor center/store and just watching them move around for a few minutes is entertaining.
While it’s fine I guess, it was still a little underwhelming to us and especially after going to the zoo before. There are a couple of places you can get some food, but I would avoid it unless you are desperate as the prices are too high.
