点评：We took our Mother there for her 89th birthday. When I asked her where she wanted to go, she said Applebee's since she hadn't been there in a long time.
What a big mistake! I worked in food service for about 40 years, and I have never seen such lackluster service by a server in my life! She was mostly deadpan in personally throughout our meal, that is for the few times we saw her. Brought our drinks but not the creamer for the coffee. By the time she brought the creamer the coffee was too cold to drink, and she had to get another cup. Our meals came out in a quick manner which was good. My husband had the "all you can eat" chicken wings special. One of the sauces he originally wanted was out of stock, so he orders another flavor. But the wings and his fries were not hot when it arrived. My lunch was hot and good so was my Mother's. The server did not check back on us for quite a while. With "all you can eat" you would think that the thing to do would be to stop by and see if you wanted more wings. Nope we had to flag down the server to order additional wings. While she was there, we asked for a refill on coffee and water. Five minutes later she came back with coffee but no water. At that time, she asked again about the sauce for the wing refill. So obviously she did not place the reorder yet! Finally got the wings after 25 minutes! That is so ridiculous considering it was now after 2 o'clock and the restaurant was not busy! Of course, our server blamed the kitchen, saying it was because there was only 1 cook on duty. Seriously, 25 minutes for chicken and fries to be dropped into the fryer? It was truly sad that the majority of our lunch conversation was about how horrible it was. I felt so bad about my Mother's 89th birthday lunch turned out like this!
