点评:Our group of nine went out to celebrate, concluding a three day work event. Three of our party had been to this venue before, but their words did not do justice. I think the fact that we had the most fantastic server of all time whose name was Tia and who is a management trainee made our three hour stay fantastic. Her her delivery and eloquence describing the dishes, her expertise in making unusual cocktails at the table and her outright friendliness made the experience more than just about food.
Three people had the $75 pre-fixe and enjoyed it very much. I loved the halibut. It was cooked to perfection on a bed of orzo. Others had shrimp and scallops prepared perfectly.
The crab dip appetizer was enjoyed by all as was the bread basket.
The thing I enjoyed the most was glancing at a pop over at a nearby table and I asked Tia how do I get one and she said you’ve got it. And sure enough a popover which didn’t go with my entrée was there for me to enjoy.
The evening was topped by us sharing three lava cakes and a crispy banana split. They also brought us some complimentary red velvet cake.
I did not mention the views which were of course spectacular as sun descended across the water. We saw beautiful sailboats, and the water taxi right outside our window. Whenever you’re in Annapolis, I say give this venue a try. I am confounded by some of the reports about service and temperature. I ascribe those to trolls and not to people who really enjoy fine dining.
By the way, if you do order the oysters on a half shell, they are presented it to you as though they are smoking from the dry ice and it is a spectacular presentation. We enjoyed that by table watching. I have never seen such a diverse group of people truly enjoying their dining experience.
