点评:I did a walking tour of Chisinau, but my guide couldn't give me many recommendations for 'a pint'. It's quite an eat when you drink culture I think, where Britain is often more drink then eat, and as an Englishman wandering about a city by himself 'a pint' is vital.
I'm happy to say the Taproom was exactly what I was after. I sat at the bar for an hour or so drinking a decent lager, then another lager, then a cider and another cider, and left both half cut and happy. The barmaid did happen to speak English though you can get by with pointing easily enough as the drinks all over the board are easy to understand.
The other punters were what I'd call normal people in their 20s enjoying a Thursday afternoon in a nice bar/pub. The music was excellent (mostly mid-90s alt rock). It was bright, the entrance is pretty obvious from the street and it's right in the centre of town, three blocks over from the main square just off the main city boulevard.
All in all, for a bloke just after a few quiet ales during a city break I couldn't really have asked for better.
