点评：If you're in love with Angelina, then Angelina Paris - Qatar is NOT the place for you!!! Desserts are stale, quality is not on par and service makes you wanna run for the hills.
Here’s the thing. When I went to Harrod’s in the airport, I tempered my expectations. The service was fully inconsistent, near bottom of the barrel but the food was fab. At Angelina Paris - Qatar, there were NO redeeming qualities. First off, you know right away that there’s a problem because the place is a ghost town ALL day long. The staff literally must want to find the nearest bridge. I can imagine they are either on their phones listening to podcasts via hidden Bluetooth in their ear. What else is there to do???
When I arrived, I literally had my pick of a zillion empty tables. You can eat inside or just outside of the restaurant which means you’re in the mall which, I wasn’t so keen on. If you know Doha, you’ll be familiar with the fact that as people walk by you, some (most) really overdo it on perfume and cologne and it lingers like nobody’s business. Who needs that at all, let alone while you’re eating??
The food….. no pork!! Middle East. So, Croque Mme and Croque Mons. again, LOWER your expectations. I ordered a bunch of things so I could get a good picture. For real, this place gets a pass.
One of the things I ordered had to thaw on my table as it came out frozen (epic fail). And then, something else I ordered came out and should have been hot but it wasn’t. Ah, hello!!!! Aside from two guys who were there before me, I was the only one in the restaurant!!!! There is NO excuse for them screwing up. The best part of my order was the fries. They were light, skinny, crispy, perfectly salted….. Here’s the thing, I’m sure you can get fries just about anywhere that would rival those and really, is that why ones goes to Angelina??
Full on, total disappointment.
Staff. No. I communicated about the frozen food. I literally got, “Oh” and then the person walked away. Zero offering of a solution. No empathy. Nothing. Save yourself. Eat elsewhere.
