点评:The place was completely empty and now I know why.
My husband hosted a lunch for four people. A lovely waitress tried her best but certainly needs quite some more training on the job. There is not really anything which springs at you from the menu which is a collection of loose pages (and two of four were incomplete missing the "fish" page).
We ordered two goat cheese salads and a green salad; latter was nice - presentation was beautiful. The two goat cheese salads shared one thin slice of "Bûche de chèvre" and was in all practicality simply not there and a total disappointment. Vansom at That Dam sells goat cheese for LAK 130,000/180 grams; Café Vanille does the same. With one cheese this restaurant manages to sell at least 20 portions as it comes with salads - being heavy on cheap carrots julienne.
The main courses were two salmon tartare and two tuna tartare - again served with salad served in monstrous heavy bowls. An alternative option (there is so and so much salad you can eat) would have been French Fries. Four slices of baguette were offered and we had to order three more helpings.
Together with a (wrongly served) soda, and two bottles of San Pellegrino clocked a bill of almost LAK 2.2 million (USD 100) which is seriously overpriced for what was served.
All in all nicely presented but a culinary disappointment and my husband had to apologize to our guests; we went elsewhere for some nice pastry and fresh coffee.
Certainly not going back until they get their act together. The off-road location, the poorly trained waitress and the pricing are a deadly cocktail for this nicely decorated and appointed restaurant with (limited) off-road parking.
