点评：I ate at Moon the Night recently, not having been there for a few years. The restaurant has done some attractive renovations during the Covid lockdown period, and is now offering a Sindat Seafood Buffet every evening from about 4-11PM.
The selection of seafood very large, and includes at least 3 varieties of big crabs, several kinds of shellfish, cockles, large shrimp, squid, even a plate of tuna. Sauces, salad items and deep fried chicken wings are on offer. For dessert, there is fruit in season, ice cream popsicles, and Nam Wan (a classic Lao dessert of various gelatins in coconut syrup, served with cream and syrup). The price is 199,000 kip per person (about $11), quite inexpensive.
You are seated at a table - we had one overlooking the Mekong River with a lovely sunset view - that has a hot pot and an electric grill. You help yourself to as much food as you want, as often as you want. The various seafood items are mostly uncooked, and need to be boiled or grilled. This is the only drawback for some items like the large crabs, which could be difficult to boil and get too soft (crabs should be steamed), and grilling takes time.
But we left absolutely stuffed, very satisfied.
