“Charming setting, but the mixed grill could be better”
I visited Sehrli Tendir recently, drawn in by the cozy, traditional decor and the many framed photos of what seems to be a long list of notable guests. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming ambiance with colorful tablecloths and a clear local character, which really sets the mood nicely.
Service was polite and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable — my bill came to just 99 AZN for a full meal including salad, bread, drinks, and a mixed grill.
The highlight of the meal was the Shaki salad — fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. However, the mixed grill was a bit underwhelming. While the presentation was great, the meats were slightly overcooked and lacked seasoning. It wasn’t bad, but I expected more depth of flavor given the visual and reputation of the place.
This restaurant definitely has charm and potential. I’d come back to try some other dishes, but the grill, unfortunately, didn’t live up to the rest of the experience.
